First Weekend In Kona

Hello, Hawaii! God is so good to have brought us to such a beautiful place to seek Him, learn more about Him and to gain direction. We only arrived Friday, but already we feel like we’ve made Kona our home. After several flights (and we have all of our luggage as of Saturday afternoon!), we are here safely and ready to learn. This is the biggest semester at University of the Nations in years. It has been incredible for us to be surrounded by so many people who want to know God more– and from so many nations!

Our particular training school has about 65 people, ranging from 17-30 years old. Everyone is from different backgrounds and areas of the world. Needless to say, we are the only Alabamaians. Actually, we are close to being the only southerners! We are living with two married couples who are also in our school- a specific prayer of Ryan’s. We have gotten along so well (so far!). One couple is a little older than us- around 29, and have been married for 4 years. They’re from Canada, eh? The other couple has been married for TWO weeks(!) and they just graduated from Baylor University in August. We have enjoyed getting to know them.

Please pray for us as we enter into our first week of training. Our staff and teachers seem pretty great- we are both excited to learn!
