It is now mid- May and we are gearing up for an eventful summer!
The end of April/beginning of May, we hosted two back to back seminars in Haiti. We had a great turnout for both of these conferences and laid a strong foundation for more training and collaboration within the community.
Our first seminar was a business development seminar and by the end, most of the attendees were able to complete an actual business plan of action.
Our second one was a pastor’s conference, which built upon the relationships and teachings that stemmed from last year’s conference. We were delighted to have returning teachers and encouragers empower our Haitian pastor friends to do more of what is appropriate for their congregation, and encouraging them against a “one-size-fits-all” model. Great discussions were had and people were encouraged.
We are gearing up for the summer- which will be full of lots of fun. In June, we are going to move ahead with some bigger Justice Water Hispaniola projects and in in July, we will one again be having teams come and help our long-term staff run children’s camp. These are big, expensive months, so please pray for continued provision of finances for these camps and other expenses!
